AUBURN – Top-seeded clubs prevailed as the post-season playoffs began in the L-A Senior Hockey League at Ingersoll Arena.

In the Competitive Division Sunday, B&B Catering (1) edged Team Bud Light (2) 3-2; River Ratts (6) upset DMD Barbaricks (3) 4-3; and St. Laurent & Son (4) blanked Swamp Donkeys (5) 8-0. Last night, B&B and River Ratts were meeting in one semifinal contest. Tonight at 7:30, Team Bud Light will take on St. Laurent & Son in the other semifinal tilt. At 8:45, DMD Barbaricks and Swamp Donkeys will meet in a consolation game. Championship contest is slated for Sunday at 7:15 p.m.

In the Recreational Division Friday, Lewiston Capitals (1) beat L/A Stars (2) 5-3; Custom Metal Fab (3) knocked off Radio City (6) 7-1; and Budget Document Technology (4) nipped Play It Again Sports (5) 3-2. Semi-finals are set for Friday, March 10, as follows: 8 p.m., Caps vs Custom Metal; 9:15, L/A Stars vs Budget Document. A consolation game between Radio City and Play It Again Sports will be waged at 10:30. Championship game is set for Sunday at 6 p.m.
