PARIS – David M. Stager, 47, of Bryant Pond was arraigned Wednesday in 11th District Court on charges of stalking and criminal threatening. His bail was reduced from $2,000 to $500 cash, which he posted shortly after his court appearance.

The charges stem from allegations by a teenage girl that she had been followed around Rumford and eventually was followed to her home by an older man who attempted to get her into his vehicle, said Sgt. David Bean of the Rumford Police Department.

Stager was arrested on March 7 by Rumford police. His trial date has been set for May 9.
