WEST PARIS – Brent Bowen, a senior at Lewiston High School and a member of the school’s Teenage Republicans, will be the speaker at the Tuesday, March 14, meeting of the Oxford County Republicans at the Unitarian Universalist Church.

Bowen will discuss his record of Republican activism at Lewiston High School and the role teenage Republicans will play in the elections this fall.

A 5:30 p.m. social hour will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. dinner and the speaker and meeting. All area Republicans are invited.

A report will be given on last month’s Lincoln Day Dinner, which attracted more than 140 county Republicans at the Four Seasons in South Paris. Ray Richardson, WLOB radio personality, was the speaker.

Republican gubernatorial candidates State Sens. Peter Mills and Chandler Woodcock were present and recognized. Oxford County Republican Vice Chairwoman Joan Putnam made a special presentation in honor of Penny Tucker of the Hannibal Hamlin Women’s Republican Club for her service to the party.

An auction and raffles raised funds for the County Committee fall campaign. Representatives of Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins brought greetings.
