Rich Pelletier of Pelletier’s Karate Academy in Lewiston spent two afternoons with the students of Wales Central School as they geared up for Maine Educational Assessments. He coached younger students on the importance of focus in the learning process. For students in grades five though eight, Pelletier discussed the importance of developing healthy habits and setting goals using a six-step process. He advised using the eyes, mind and body to focus on acquiring knowledge. Maine Educational Assessments will be given to all students in grades three through eight this year.
