GARDINER – Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center will present singer/songwriter Anni Clark and special guests Robby Coffin and Scott Elliot tonight at the first “Sounds Good! Music Live at Johnson Hall” show.
Clark has released six solo albums and has won the Female Artist of the Year and Folk Artist of the Year in Jam Music Magazine’s Readers’ Pix Awards, 2003.
She has appeared at folk festivals all around the country and has collaborated with other well-known songwriters.
Her songs are emotional and humorous by turns and have been described as “original folk, pop and blues with a dash of Maine hume-ah.”
“Sounds Good! Music Live at Johnson Hall” will feature the tenth year of great music taped by Adelphia Channel 9 for later TV broadcast.
Hosts will be David Greenham, producing director of Theater at Monmouth, and Denise Reehl, artistic consultant at Johnson Hall. Sounds Good! offers an opportunity to listen to live music in an intimate setting, meet the musicians and be on television as part of the studio audience.
Shows are presented at 7:30 p.m. at historic Johnson Hall, 280 Water St., on Fridays in March and April.
General admission tickets are $9, $4 for students with ID. Seating is limited. Reservations may be made by calling 582-7144 or via [email protected].
