Auburn – Jeanne Mary-Ann Baril, 68, of Bradley Street, Lewiston, died Wednesday, March 8 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care.

She was born in Lewiston, June 27, 1937, the daughter of George and Louise Champagne Chasse. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married Sept. 24, 1955, to Raymond M. Baril, who predeceased her in 1970. She had been employed years ago at Clark Shoe Co. She enjoyed arts, crocheting, sewing, cooking, music and playing cards.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Martin and husband, Bob, of Pownal; two sons, Maurice Baril of Auburn and Marcel Baril and partner, Belinda Watson, of Lewiston; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cecile StPierre and husband, Philip, of Turner and Doris Galarneau and husband, Bert, of Lewiston; a brother, Bertrand Chasse Sr. and wife, Dot, of Auburn.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Israel in 1999; and twin sister, Jeannine.

Jeanne’s family wishes to thank her two sisters, Cecile and Doris, and brother, Bert, for always being there for her.
