LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on March 6 with 32 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting and Mary Groleau led the group singing “How Great Thou Art.” Those on the sick list included Emile Richard, Jeannette Buck, Gail Lachance and Shirley Toncer.

Couture reported that Arlene Doiron had died and the group extended their condolences.

SeniorsPlus will serve a special meal at their location at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day. The menu will include corned beef, boiled potatoes, cabbage, Irish soda bread and gingerbread with lemon sauce. The Franklin County Fiddlers will entertain at the meal.

The senior group will observe St. Patrick’s Day Monday, March 13, at the weekly meeting where they will be entertained by Louise Parker and her group. The group’s monthly meal from SeniorsPlus will be served Monday.

The group will hold a Chinese auction on Monday, March 20. The 50-50 was won by Pauline Coombs. The meeting was adjourned and members held a beano game and cards.
