Two area students at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla., have been recognized for making the dean’s list for the fall semester.

Jessie E. Creighton of Harrison is a freshman and is the daughter of Samuel Allen and Brenda Creighton.

Abigail R. Rogers of South Paris is a sophomore and is the daughter of Leslie and Darlene Rogers.

Students on the dean’s list have earned a grade-point average of between 3.7 and 3.99 (on a 4.0 scale) while carrying 12 or more graded credit hours during a semester.

Senior Adriana Zolas of Lewiston, daughter of Dieuwke and Pandy Zolas, has been named to the fall term dean’s list at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y.

Inclusion on the list is an indication of excellent academic work, including the completion of a full course load with at least a 3.5 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.

Zolas is majoring in psychology. She has participated in Phi Sigma Phi and women’s varsity swimming and diving. Zolas is a graduate of Brunswick High School.

Renee Lajoie of Auburn, junior, majoring in psychology and Sarah Gardner of Auburn, sophomore, majoring in psychology, have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y.

Dean’s list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.

Christine H. Little of Auburn has been named to the dean’s list at Boston University for the fall semester.

Bettina T. Voigt of New Gloucester has been named to second honors on the Clark University dean’s list during the fall semester.

Voigt is a member of Clark University’s Class of 2009. Voigt also attended Hebron Academy.

To be eligible for second honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, of a maximum of 4.3.

Danielle L. Bosse, daughter of Linda and Gilles Cote of Lewiston and Donald and Susan Bosse of Mechanic Falls, and granddaughter of Normand Garant and Flo Bosse, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New England.

Dean’s list students have attained a grade point average of 3.30 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.

A 2002 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School, Bosse is a major in dental hygiene.

Colby-Sawyer College of New London, N.H., has named John D. Bosse of Lewiston to the dean’s list for academic achievement during the fall semester.

To qualify, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses.

Bosse, a member of the class of 2008, is a exercise and sport sciences major.

Katie Dunn, daughter of Jim and Lorraine Dunn of Lisbon Falls, was named to the Cedarville University dean’s honor list for the fall semester. She is a senior majoring in youth ministries.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a 3.75 grade point average for the semester, be carrying at least 12 semester hours and have no grade lower than a B for the semester at the Cedarville, Ohio, college.

Two area students have been named to Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications dean’s list for the fall semester. To qualify, students must achieve at least a 3.4 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the semester.

Stacy Cloutier of Lewiston is a sophomore majoring in television.

Ivy Pelletier of Sabattus is a sophomore majoring in magazine journalism.

Jamie Turcotte of Poland has been named to the dean’s list at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass., for the fall semester with a grade point average of 3.8.

Turcotte is a junior majoring in psychology and minoring in philosophy and digital media. She is the daughter of Marc and Diane Turcotte of Poland.

The following area students have attained the dean’s list at New England College in Henniker, N.H., for the fall semester: Lewiston: Billy Brooks, Stephen Cobb, Collette Mailhot, Sheena Marichal.

Southern New Hampshire University

BRUNSWICK – The following area Brunswick Southern New Hampshire University students were named to the president’s list for terms one and two. To attain the list, a student must complete 12 credits in two consecutive terms and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Charlene O’Clair of Lewiston; David Harris of Lisbon; James Valentine of Lisbon Falls; Timothy Kane of Lisbon Falls; Shari Sylvester of Minot; Frederic Browne of Richmond; Marc D’Agostino of Sabattus; Allen Jackson, Andrew Laskey, Erik Johansen, Hillary Eaton, all of Topsham.

The following Brunswick Southern New Hampshire University students were named to the dean’s list for terms one and two. To attain the list, a student must complete 12 credits in two consecutive terms and earn a grade point average of between 3.0 and 3.5.
