Relay for Life teams

FARMINGTON – Teams are forming for the annual Relay for Life to be held from June 2 and 3 at Mt. Blue High School. Many activities are being planned and a DJ has been scheduled to provide upbeat music.

The Relay for Life is held to raise money for cancer research. Organizers are asking the public to help fight cancer by forming a team of their own.

For more information on starting a team, call Colleen Bate at 652-2154 or Lisa Brochu at 897-4660.

Tickets on sale

FARMINGTON – Tickets are being sold for the United Way’s dinner theater to be held Saturday, April 8, at the Granary Brew Pub and Restaurant. Reservations and a meal choice are required by March 31.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. April 8 and the show will start at 6:30. The show, “Death With Father,” is based on the premise that Father Patrick O’Sullivan is holding a bingo fundraiser to save “Our Lady of Almost Lost Causes Orphanage” from the hands of the mob and from big city developers. When Judy Tremont, the church secretary, is found dead, the audience must figure out who did it. Audience members actually play bingo in the show.

The cost is $32.50 a person and includes the meal, show and gratuity. There is limited seating of 100 so it is advanced ticket sales only. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact the United Way at 78-5048 or e-mail info@uwtva.org.
