Poland – Parley “Jim” G. Papworth Jr., 72, of Poland died Sunday, March 12, at his home.
He was born in Tacoma, Wash., on April 29, 1933, the son of Parley G. Papworth Sr. and Ruth Wesley Papworth. He attended schools in Washington and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy in Korea.
He married Mildred “Millie”Alden. He started work at Fantastic Fair then went on to work at KMart in the shoe department. He had been employed part-time at the Poland Transfer Station. He had the gift of gab. He collected all things and loved his yard sales.
He is survived by two sons, Dana Papworth and Devin Papworth both of Poland; a daughter, Debra Ricker and her husband, Tom, of Poland; three grandchildren, Jason Ricker and his fiance, Allison Cross, Jaime Ricker and her fianc, Ray Libby, and Tauny Papworth and her partner, Misty Merrill; and a brother Wesley Papworth of Washington state.
He was predeceased by his wife; and a granddaughter, Shanna Papworth.
