AUBURN – Kim Gallant of Auburn has been named Mrs. Androscoggin County and will compete in the Mrs. Maine International competition on Sunday, April 9, at the Winthrop Performing Arts Center.

Gallant resides in Auburn with her husband, Jason, and their four children. In her spare time, she enjoys family time and working out.

She is a homemaker and a volunteer for the Abused Women Advocacy Program. Gallant is continuing her education in domestic violence prevention. Her goal is to enter the courts as an advocate for women and children of domestic abuse.

Gallant has chosen as her pageant platform to spread awareness and services for domestic violence victims. The phases of the competition include personal interview/platform, 50 percent of score; evening gown, 25 percent; and aerobic wear, 25 percent.

The Mrs. Maine International winner will be crowned by her husband, receive a prize package valued at more than $15,000 and have the opportunity to represent the state nationally at the Mrs. International Competition in Chicago.
