MEXICO – Parents/guardians with children who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 are asked to call their neighborhood school to preregister their child for kindergarten between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by April 14.
Photo numbers are Meroby Elementary, 364-3715, and Rumford Elementary, 364-8155.
Formal registration and screening will take place at the superintendent’s office at 3 Recreation Drive. The dates and times for registration/screening are: Tuesday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for students who will be attending Rumford Elementary; Wednesday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for students who will be attending Meroby Elementary; and Thursday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for students who are unable to attend the two previous dates.
Parents should allow one hour for the appointment. They need to bring an original birth certificate from the town where the child was born, immunization information and the child’s social security card. Anyone with questions should call the neighborhood school.
