PORTLAND – Cingular Wireless announced the opening of a new store in Auburn. The store is the first company-owned Cingular retail location in Androscoggin County.

The Auburn retail team is led by Cingular veteran Rob Chase under the management of Owen Smith, Cingular’s area retail sales manager and a longtime Maine resident.

The store is at 279 Center St. in the former Emerson Toyota building.
