AUBURN – The Central Maine Detachment, Marine Corps League, is reorganizing. Members will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30, the American Legion Post 153, 72 South Main St., New Auburn. Those attending should use the side door on Cook Street.
All men and women who served in the Marine Corps and the Navy Corps men and women who served with the Marines are eligible to belong to the Central Maine Detachment.
Commandant Raymond E. Lemieux said, “We want our Marines to come forward and come to our meetings, be recognized and take part in our upcoming Memorial Day parade on behalf of our other Marines serving at this time in Iraq and also for the ones who lost their lives since this started.”
For more information, call Lemieux at 784-0656. The detachment will meet the last Thursday of every month. A snack social will follow the meetings.
