RUMFORD – Rumford’s Relay For Life Relay Rally, the American Cancer Society’s signature event to kick things off for the Relay for Life, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23.
The Relay For Life-Rumford Committee will host the rally at the Eagles Club on Oxford Avenue. A spaghetti dinner will be followed by guest speakers, raffles and drawings.
All cancer survivors, their families and the Relay For Life Teams are invited. People should RSVP to Diane Mitchell at 364-8358.
The River Valley relay will be held on May 19 to 20 at the Hosmer Field Complex. Teams of eight to 15 people will take turns walking around a track for 18 hours. Families, corporations, clubs, hospitals, churches, temples and schools all organize teams.
