RUMFORD – The officers and members of Le Paresseux Club will hold their annual St. Patrick’s Outing on Saturday and Sunday, March 18 and 19, at their club, 227 Waldo St.

The club will open at 1 p.m. Saturday and there will be a fraternal union meeting at 2 p.m. A corned beef and ham supper will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. The menu will include potatoes, cabbage, carrots and turnip and cost will be $6 a person; $3 for children 12 and under. A dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight and music will be by E/I Band.

A parade will be held Sunday, with line-up at 9 a.m. in front of the Thibeault Funeral Home, Penobscot Street The parade will depart for Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Athanasius and St. John’s Church. A dinner will follow at noon at the club. Cost is $4 a person and $2 for children 12 and under.

Awards will be presented for the parade at 2 p.m. All king, queen, prince and princess from the 2006 International Snowshoe Championship held in Gatineau, Quebec, are welcome to take part in the parade and will be escorted as a group into the church.

Awards will be given for drum corps, twirling majorette, color guard and most numerous from the United States and Canada.
