Worship leader

PARIS – Silver Moore-Leamon will be the worship leader at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris, on Sunday, March 19. Her sermon topic for the 10 a.m. service will be “Topsy-turvy.”

The music will be under the direction of Forest Perkins, church organist. Renee Wales will lead the Sunday school. Child care is provided.

The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Sale nears end

OXFORD – The Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual tree, shrub and trout sale is about to come to a close.

There are more than 160 varieties to choose from in this year’s sale. The deadline for orders is Friday, March 24.

Singing lessons

OXFORD – There is still time to sign up for the series of free voice lessons offered by the Mollyockett Chorus in their Divas Wanted program. On Tuesday nights, March 21, March 28 and April 4, Director Pat Fleck and members of the chorus welcome women 16 and up who would like to learn the art of barbershop singing.

The chorus meets at 6:15 p.m. at the Church of the Later Day Saints on Skeetfield Road. There is a $10 fee to cover music, learning tapes or CDs and other instructional materials.
