Lodge meeting

Puppy school

AUBURN – Great Falls Dog Obedience Club will start another six-week dog obedience class Wednesday, March 22, in Auburn. Beginners class will be at 6:30 p.m. and advanced at 7:30. Dogs must be at least 3 months old. To register and for more information, call the club’s trainer, Diane Harrington, at 784-7578.

Art classes

AUBURN – Auburn Adult and Community Education will offer acrylic painting starting Tuesday, March 28, and creative watercolor staring Thursday, March 30.

The watercolor class will use material from the Michael Wilcox School of Color. Acrylic painting dries quickly and has a similar quality as watercolor, so each student will have a painting to frame at the end of the session.

Both classes will be held at Edward Little High School, Room 144, and run six weeks with art instructor Barbara Hathaway. Hathaway has taught several session at Auburn Adult Ed and is certified by the Wilcox School. A materials list will be given upon registration. Singing lessons

OXFORD – There is still time to sign up for the series of free voice lessons offered by the Mollyockett Chorus in their Divas Wanted program. On Tuesday nights, March 21, March 28 and April 4, Director Pat Fleck and members of the chorus welcome women 16 and up who would like to learn the art of barbershop singing.

The chorus meets at 6:15 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Skeetfield Road. There is a $10 fee to cover music, learning tapes or CDs and other instructional materials.

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on March 14 were: first/second tie, Helen Little and Cynthia Bonsey with Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; third, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; fourth, Mary Leahey and Luke Merry; second in B, Maude Abbott and Claire Lyons.

Winners at Schooner Estates on March 15 were: first, Tom Dahlberg and David Wallace; second, Mary Leahey and Nancy Lindgren; third, Martine Begert and Patricia Garcia; fourth, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; fifth, Lil Cohen and Rosemarie Goodwin.
