NEW GLOUCESTER – Residents can be screened by Life Line Screening on Monday, April 17, at the Eastgate Christian School, 68 Cobbs Bridge Road. Appointments will begin at 9 a.m.

Screenings involve the use of ultrasound technology, and scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, which can lead to a stroke; aortic aneurysms, which can lead to a ruptured aorta; and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which are a predictor of heart disease. Also offered is a bone density screening to assess risk for osteoporosis.

Each screening requires 10 minutes or less to complete. A vascular screening package is $109. A vascular package with osteoporosis screening is $129.
