PORTLAND – Amanda Rose Britton, 15, of South Paris died Thursday, March 16, at Maine Medical Center.

Amanda was born in Worcester, Mass., on Oct. 4, 1990, the daughter of Frank and Bette Place Britton. She was a sophomore at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, where she loved school and her classmates. She was a Girl Scout and a member of the Special Olympics team. She enjoyed camping, family gatherings and blues music.

She is survived by her parents of South Paris; four brothers, Scott of South Paris, Frank Jr. of South Paris, Benjamin of Norway and Jason Place of South Paris; her grandmothers, Rose Robideau of Marlborough, Mass., and Patricia LaVerdiere of Mechanic Falls; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; her cat, A.C.; and all of her loving caregivers.
