NORWAY – Earl S. McAllister, 60, of South Paris, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 19, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Lovell on Dec. 15, 1945, to Carroll and Edith (Smith) McAllister.

Earl married Judith Andrews on April 15, 1967.

He had worked for many years at Malden Mills in Bridgton and, most recently, in Lawrence, Mass.

He faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9787 of South Paris.

Earl loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and gardening. He enjoyed the flowers that he grew, loved his grandchildren and was a special husband, father and grandfather. He also was a former member of the Norway National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Judith of South Paris; a daughter, Stacey and her husband, Alan Hodsdon, of Oxford; a son, Earl S. McAllister Jr. and his wife, Charity, of South Paris; brother, Larry McAllister of South Paris; three sisters, Kay and her husband, George Drisko, of Bridgton, Polly and her husband, Robert Doucette, of New Hampshire, and Carolyn of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren, Brandon and Cody Hodsdon and Ashley McAllister.

He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Chapman; and a brother, Carroll McAllister.
