I had to stop and take my jaw off my desk when I read Auburn math teacher Tina Vanasse’s comments in your paper (March 16).

“How dare they question what we do and how we do it,” she was reported to say at the school committee meeting. The complete arrogance of that, and other statements attributed to Ms. Vanasse, superbly illustrate the attitude of many administrators and teachers working in our cities today.

Teachers and administrators must please try and remember that our tax dollars pay their salaries. It is our duty and our obligation to question how they are spending our money.
