Melanie A. Roy graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with an associate degree in baking and pastry arts. She graduated as a dean’s list student with a grade point average of 3.57. Dean list students have attained 3.30 or better out of a possible 4.0.

Roy’s wedding cake was chosen as a centerpiece for the previous graduating class. She is working in the Continuing Education Department as an assistant to the director. She began her bachelor’s degree program in March.

Roy graduated from Lewiston High School and the Lewiston Regional Technical Center’s Culinary Arts Program with honors. She is the daughter of Lionel and Annette Roy of Lewiston. Her brother, Travis, is a student at the University of New England in Biddeford studying to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.
