PERU – Approximately 278 voters braved freezing temperatures and brisk winds Monday to elect two new selectmen. Dennis Thibodeau received 195 votes and Rodney Jamison received 169 votes. Incumbent Kathy Hussey lost her seat with only 131 votes.

Vera Parent was re-elected town clerk/treasurer and tax collector for three years.

Lynda Hebert was elected SAD 21 director.
