LEWISTON – Glen DeCarteret, certified prosthetist at Sound Limbs Orthotics and Prosthetics, was recently certified as provider of the Rheo Knee by Ossur. This course certifies DeCarteret in the application of microprocessor knees available for amputees. The system provides control in the swing and stability of the knee through bionic computer technology.

DeCarteret came to Sound Limbs with more than 20 years of experience in prosthetics. He served the Boston area and worked extensively with New England Rehabilitation Hospital, where he worked closely with all members of the rehabilitation team.
