You wake up to the sound of your alarm clock, suddenly hating it. But if it weren’t for your alarm clock, you would probably show up at noon for school everyday. You lay in your bed for about 10 minutes telling yourself that one day not showing up won’t hurt anything.
Then you think a minute, the consequences would be worst. That extra yell from your mom telling you to get up suddenly boasts you out of bed and into the shower. After your shower you get dressed. For a boy this might be dirty jeans, a wrinkled t-shirt, and cologne that could last a year.
For a girl this activity takes about an hour. Your outfit must look perfect, and it looks as if a tornado hit your room. You look at your watch and realize you are close to being late. You quickly brush your teeth and do your hair. Then you stuff your school books and gym clothes into your bag, hoping that you didn’t grab your sister’s things instead.
Then along the way you quickly grab your breakfast, and you race out the door. Right when the bus pulls up, a sigh of relief that you didn’t miss it, but in hope that you were not missing anything either. Another day of school.
