Lisbon Falls – Norman M. Bulick, 83, of Lisbon Falls died March 21, at his home surrounded by his loving family, as was his wishes.
He was born in Lisbon Falls on Frost Hill Avenue June 22, 1922, the son of Arno and Mable King Bulick. He was educated at Lisbon schools and later joined the Navy in 1943, and served in the Phillipines on a mine sweeper during World War II.
He received many medals during his service to his country. Upon his return, he was employed by the Bonafide Textile Mills in Lisbon. He married his devoted loving wife, Josephine Longway on Dec. 24, 1939. Together during 67 years of a devoted relationship they successfully built and ran Norman M. Bulick Construction, while raising two beautiful daughters, Barbara Bulick Brown and Madelyn Bulick Harles and two devoted loving grandchildren, Nadine and Daniel Bulick.
The business is now operated by Daniel W. Bulick. Norman retired in 1994, and was able to enjoy his home on Tacoma Lake, boating and family outings while accompanied by his beloved dog, Harley. He was a member of the American Legion of Lisbon and Lisbon Falls and the VFW of Lisbon. He also actively participated and also sponsored his girls’ softball team for many years. He enjoyed working and operating his equipment, but his greatest pleasure in life was the time he spent with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Josephine Bulick of Lisbon Falls; one daughter, Madelyn and her husband, Richard Harles, of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, Tammy Bosse of New Gloucester, Jamie Brown of Topsham, Nadine Gendron of Lisbon Falls, Daniel W. Bulick and his fiance, Erica Beal of Lisbon Falls and Vickey Brown of Hartford; nine great-grandchildren, Lisa Bowe of Lisbon Falls, Adeena Bosse of New Gloucester, Daniel N L Bulick of Lisbon Falls, Chelsey St Amour of Topsham, Daja Brown of Hartford, Gage H. Bulick of Falmouth, Dylan St. Amour of Topsham, Madison Josephine Gendron of Lisbon Falls, and Shane St. Pierre of Hartford; three sisters, Marlene Snyder of Kokomo, Ind., Sandra Cummings of Augusta and Susan Littlefield of Bowdoinham; one brother, Paul Bulick of Bowdoin; one niece, Mable Johnson of Silverhill Ala.; one nephew, Linwood Goddard of Lisbon Falls; and many great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Arno Bulick Jr.; sister, Bernice Goddard; daughter, Barbara Brown; nephew, Conrad Goddard; and his beloved dog, Harley.
