AUBURN – Patricia Rea, a member of Fidelity Rebekah Lodge 4 of Auburn, as Rebekah Assembly of Maine District 3 deputy president, will preside at the annual district meeting Saturday, March 25, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Elm St.

Cathy Hunnewell, also of Fidelity, deputy marshal, will assist her. The session will open at 2 p.m. Sally Wentworth, past district deputy president of Nina, is in charge.

Lodges in the district are Fidelity 4 and Liberty 94 of Auburn, Colfax 27 of Mechanic Falls and Nina 86 of Lisbon. Members from all four lodges will take part in the program.

Patricia Grass, Rebekah Assembly of Maine president, and her marshal, Janice Bolduc, both of Olive 21 in Kennebunk, will make their official visit.

Officers for the meeting will be Hunnewell, noble grand; Suzanne O’Connor of Nina, vice grand; Arlene Chandler of Colfax, secretary; Ruth O’Brien of Fidelity, treasurer; Cynthia Maxwell of Liberty, financial secretary; Martha Shorette of Nina, warden; Nancy Waisanen of Liberty, conductor; Esther Tucker of Liberty, right supporter of the noble grand; Pearl Roberts of Nina, left supporter of the noble grand; Glendon Spiller of Fidelity, right supporter of the vice grand; Lucille Hobbs of Fidelity, left supporter of the vice grand; Joseph Robichaud of Nina, outside guardian, Patricia Robichaud of Colfax, inside guardian; Joan Pike of Colfax, chaplain; Donald Nason of Liberty, musician; and Ricky Waisanen of Liberty, color bearer.

The welcome will be given by O’Connor and the response by Sally Fournier, past district deputy president and a member of Colfax. A special tableau will be presented using the president’s theme of “Joy, Laughter and Dreams.” The tableau will be under the direction of Lucy Cowles, past district deputy president and member of Fidelity.

Donations from the lodges will be presented for the home fund and president’s project of cancer awareness.

Grass will hold a question-and-answer period, and a memorial service will be under the direction of Gail Morgan, past district deputy president and member of Nina.

All who attend are encouraged to take items for the exchange table to benefit the president’s project. It is under the direction of Frances Robitaille and Evelyn Pushor, both of Fidelity. A supper will be served after the meeting. Rebekahs from all over the state are invited.
