LEWISTON – Luc R. Collette, a senior graduating from Lewiston High School this spring, has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship from the University of Maine at Augusta.

Collette will enter UMA in the fall and plans to pursue a bachelor’s in art with a business minor.

UMA Presidential Scholarships are awarded to incoming and current UMA students who have demonstrated high academic achievement, community involvement and leadership potential. The scholarship is for four years, as long as the student meets certain academic criteria during his or her college years. Presidential Scholarships pay approximately 40 percent of tuition.

Collette was granted an “Emerging Leadership” Presidential Scholarship in recognition of his community involvement and potential to be a leader at UMA.
