WALES – Eric Daniels of Sabattus, a senior at Oak Hill High School, has been selected to receive the 2006 Principal’s Award, Principal Patricia E. Doyle has announced.
The award is sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association and is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Daniels was selected by Doyle because he is not only a top student, but is involved with sports and in the community. He plays varsity football and varsity baseball and is president of the Oak Hill Legislative Assembly, vice president of the Future Business Leaders of America and a member of the French Club, Student Leadership Team and Senior Finance Committee.
Daniels has also volunteered in the community with cemetery restoration, the after-school program and holiday baskets. Daniels plans to attend the University of New England majoring in athletic training.
Daniels, Doyle and other award winners and their principals will attend an honors luncheon at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 8, at the Spectacular Event Center, Bangor.
