HANOVER – The Hanover Republican Caucus was held on March 9 at the home of Paul and Lynne Ramsey with seven members of the town committee. Candidates Len Greaney of Rumford, running for state senator in District 14, Harry Faulkner and Mark Egeberg of Bethel, running for the house seat in District 91, attended.

The meeting was opened by Chairman Paul Ramsey, and Norm Ferguson was elected caucus chairman.

Delegates to the state convention to be held May 5 and 6 in Augusta were elected: Paul Ramsey, Lynne Ramsey, Norm Ferguson, chairman, Joan Everett and alternate Barbara Ferguson. It was voted to pay the registration fee for each member.

Town officers elected are Paul Ramsey, chairman; Barbara Ferguson, secretary; Gordon Howe, county committee member; and Norm Ferguson, finance chairman.

The business meeting concluded at 7:40 p.m. and the rest of the evening was devoted to the candidates who introduced themselves and discussed their positions.
