WASHINGTON (AP) – More federal money is on the way to help New Hampshire residents pay their heating bills.
The state’s congressional delegation says New Hampshire is about to receive an extra $8.3 million through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
With the new money, the state will have received $25 million in heating money for this winter.
“There remains a need to help those who are most vulnerable in our communities to stay warm and assist with the high cost of heating their homes,” a news release from the congressional delegation said Friday.
