AUBURN – Helen E. Laliberte, 87, of Lewiston, passed away Friday, March 24, at Androscoggin Hospice House after a long illness.
She was born in Mechanic Falls, March 14, 1919, the daughter of Elisha and Eva Dixon, and later, loving step-father, Elzear “Pit” Morin. She was married 53 years and was predeceased by husband, Philip Laliberte.
Mrs. Laliberte was employed for many years as a supervisor at Maine Stamping Co. of Auburn. In the earlier years of retirement, she and her husband Philip lived in Alicante, Spain on Costa De Sol, and then returned home where they were an inspiration to their very large family and many friends.
She is survived by her son, David P. Laliberte and wife, Monique, of Groton, N.H.; daughter-in-law, Anita J. Autry of Turner; seven grandchildren, Linda Hilts of Greene, Janet Daniels of Auburn, Sally Laliberte of Burlington, Vt., John Laliberte of Lisbon, Mark Laliberte of Aliso Viejo, Calif., Debra Barrach of Holderness, N.H., and Tim Laliberte of Nashua, N.H.; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
