LISBON – Coombs Mountfort Post, American Legion, and Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the post home on Webster Street.

Open house

LEWISTON – March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal cancer is the second largest cancer killer in America, behind lung cancer. It is more than 90 percent curable when found during screening tests before symptoms appear.

The endoscopy staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, to answer questions residents may have about the screening procedure. For more information, call 755-3636.

Seniors lunch

MONMOUTH – The Golden Age Seniors will meet on Wednesday, April 5, at the Packard Center with the usual potluck luncheon. Members can bring a friend.

Wins teen supreme

AUBURN – Corrie-Marie Bernatchez of Auburn won the Junior Teen Supreme title at the New England Star Pageant recently.

Bernatchez, 14, competed for her eighth year in that particular pageant system in Windsor Locks, Conn. She competed in gown, casual wear, two outfits of choice events, swimwear and the pageant photogenic event. Gown and two optional events were combined to determine the supreme win.

Bernatchez won a specially designed crown, banner, fur trimmed robe, cash and gifts. She is the daughter of Gerry and Stephanie Bernatchez of Auburn.

Insurance program

AUBURN – The National Association of Insurance Women-Androscoggin Valley will meet Wednesday, April 12, at Martindale Country Club, Beech Hill Road.

The meeting will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:45. It is the annual Past Presidents Night. There will also be a short program on “Professional Appearance in a Changing World.”

The National Association of Insurance Women (International) is an association of insurance professionals dedicated to he development of leaders in the insurance industry.
