JAY – The Daughters of Isabella’s March meeting included an announcement from Regent Jackie Castonguay that First Communion will be held Sunday, April 23, in St. Rose Church. There will be a light lunch and social following, hosted by the Daughters of Isabella at the church hall. The Daughters of Isabella will award each candidate a pin.

A short form Confurell was held on Feb. 13 for Jane Jacques to be installed in the Daughters of Isabella. Louise Buzzell suggested there was a vacant spot for an ad in the church bulletin.

Castonguay announced the Daughters of Isabella will sponsor one high school girl from the local area for Girls State this spring.

The group will hold a lawn sale from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at the St. Rose Church hall. Anyone wishing to donate items for the sale may bring them to the church hall on Friday afternoon, April 28. Food, clothes, crafts and white elephant table items are sought.

Louise Chabot made a motion for the regent to make a format for future meetings to be combined into one. There was discussion, and Pauline Marceau suggested that it be voted on at a business meeting to which all members are invited.

On May 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the State of the Year meeting will be held in Lincoln for the state charities. Five Daughters of Isabella members have signed up to attend.
