WILTON – Artist Barbara Hathaway, painter of sunsets, has been certified by Michael Wilcox School of Color as an art instructor in the Wilcox watercolor painting technique.

Hathaway holds a certificate of advertising design from the University of Maine at Augusta and is an art instructor for adult education programs in Auburn, Farmington and Gardiner.

She instructs in acrylic, illustrating children’s books, mosaic tile design, oil painting wet-on-wet technique, pastels and watercolor.

Hathaway is a member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Portland Museum of Art and Upcountry Artists.
