RUMFORD – Grace B. Bartlett, 86, of Rumford, died Wednesday, March 29, in Rumford.
She was born April 3, 1919, the daughter of John A. and Willimina (O’Leary) Nowlin. She was educated in Bethel schools and had been a homemaker most of her life. She had a passion for interior decorating, loved to garden, music and dancing. She was married to Howard Farnum, and after a divorce she married Raymond Bartlett, who died May 29, 1989.
She is survived by four sons, Keith Bartlett of Bethel, Wendall Farnum of Rumford, Wayne Farnum of Roxbury and Webster Farnum of Jay; six daughters, Betty Kinghorn of East Hartford, Conn., Carol Ann Noyes of Peru, Gloria LeBlond of Dixfield, Glenice Russo of Nahant, Mass., Loretta Farnum of Battle Ground, Washington and Gwendolyn Fontenault of Conway, N.H.; two brothers, Clyde Nowlin of Harrison and Kenneth Nowlin of Harrison; four sisters, Eva Lane of Rumford, Florence Morgan of Bethel, Barbara Casey of Mexico and Lottie Knowles of Dixfield; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Walter Farnum; a daughter, Crystal Perry; three brothers, Carl Nowlin, John Nowlin and Raymond Nowlin; and two sisters, Marjorie Nowlin and Rena Powers.
