RUMFORD – Ralph E. Grubb, 58, died Wednesday, March 29, at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Harlow Hill in Mexico.
He was born in Portland, on Feb. 9, 1948, the son of Leroy and Shirley (Mansfield) Grubb. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict.
He worked at Ames Department Store in Portland. He loved the outdoors, crafts and reading.
He was married in Loughton, Texas on Oct. 14, 1972, to Rita Ltzr, who survives of Mexico. Other survivors include two sons, Alfred Grubb of Orlando, Fla. and Arthur Baker of Westbrook; four daughters, Martha Grubb of Westbrook, Michelle Grubb of Nederland, Texas, Crystal Grubb of Casco and Heidi Dinsmore of Lisbon; two brothers, Joseph Grubb of Folkston, Ga. and Bill Grubb of Westbrook; sister, Joyce Grubb of Cape Elizabeth; and 11 grandchildren.
