LEWISTON – The Sexual Assault Crisis Center will host its sixth annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner Saturday, April 8, at Marco’s Italian Restaurant. The event will begin at 6 p.m.

This year’s celebrity waiters are Peter and Laurie Steel from the Twin City Times, Jeff Peterson and Matt Zidle from WMTW-TV, Chris Schario from the Public Theater, Dave Ladderbush, Chip Morrison from The Chamber, Paul Boudreau from Lewiston Public Works, Chris Facchini from WCSH-TV, Chief Bill Welch from the Lewiston Police Department, Chief Richard Small from the Auburn Police Department, Kristen Cady from the Sun Journal, Patti Gagne from Allstate Insurance and Mitchell Clyde Thomas, a local actor. One of the celebrities is a professional clown and will be in costume for the event.

The celebrities will help wait on the tables and will also share their talents at the request of the guests. Nelson Peters will serve as the master of ceremonies.

Throughout the evening, there will be a silent auction, followed by a live auction at the end of the event. Auction items include jewelry, an official Red Sox baseball autographed by Gabe Kapler, a child’s John Deere ride-on tractor with wagon, car reconditioning, a piece of granite with a certificate for engraving, a handmade quilt and numerous other items of interest.
