Auburn – Patricia J. Wass, 81, of Auburn died Sunday, April 2, at the Androscoggin Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston on March 25, 1925, the daughter of John and Marjorie (Edwards) Delehanty. She grew up and attended schools in Auburn and was a graduate of Edward Little High School.

She made her home in Bridgeport, Conn., and later in Norway prior to moving back to the Lewiston-Auburn area.

She was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Norway.

She loved to bake and her specialty was birthday cakes and was also very proud of her Irish heritage.

She is survived by her husband, Carlton L. Wass of Auburn whom she married on Sept. 6, 1947; her sons, Gregory Wass of Milford, Conn. and Gary Wass and his wife, Wendy, of Londonderry, N.H.; her daughter, Cynthia Wass of Tucson, Ariz.; her granddaughter, Korri Wass; her two grandsons, Benjamin and Lucas Wass; and her great-granddaughter, Sydney Wass.
