AUBURN – Norrine D. Pray, 88, a resident of 467 Lake St., Auburn, died early Monday, April 3, at the Androscoggin Home Care Hospice House, after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston, June 19, 1917, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Davis) Leavitt Sr. She attended Auburn schools and was a 1938 graduate of Edward Little High School and also attended the School of Commerce.

She was a homemaker most of her life, but also was very proud of being a crossing guard for the Auburn School Department retiring, several years ago. After retirement, she enjoyed trips to the ocean and mountains. She loved children and animals. She was a strong and loving matriarch who took care of herself and her close knit family right up to the last days of her life. She also loved her Lord, Jesus.

Survivors include two sons, Chase Pray of Lewiston and Gregory Pray of Auburn; four daughters, Betty McCrillis and her husband, Henry, of Jay, Connie Wardzik of Auburn, Catherine Lelansky and her husband, John, of Turner and Margaret Larlee and her husband, Craig, of Turner; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Pray; and one brother, Harold Leavitt Jr.
