POLAND – The Poland Community Church annual Food Bank Fair Fundraiser will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, in the community rooms.
All proceeds will go to a $500 matching grant from Good Shepherd Food-Bank, Auburn. Donations may be brought any Saturday to Poland’s Tri-Town Food Bank, which offers a foodbox to residents on an emergency basis.
There will be homemade candy, Easter baskets, auction items, baked goods, white elephant items and a noon luncheon. Call 998-4227 for details.
Holy Week services at the church, 1212 Maine St., have been announced as follows:
Sunday, April 9, Palm Sunday worship, 9:30 a.m.
Thursday, April 13, Maundy Thursday Seder meal hosted by Ira and Laurie Levine. Lay Leader Dixie Piper will offer communion after the meal. Call 998-4227 for reservations.
Friday, April 14, Good Friday, church will be open for meditation and prayer.
Sunday, April 16, Easter sunrise service will be held in the cemetery behind the church followed by a continental breakfast. Worship and special Sunday school will take place at 9:30 a.m.
