AUBURN – Donald Rose, director of the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Foundation in Greene, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Auburn-Lewiston Art and Literature Club at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, at the Woman’s Literary Union.

The Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Foundation was established in 1935 by John Marshall Sawyer in memory of his mother, Araxine Wilkins Sawyer, as a private foundation.

The building opened in 1937 and has provided family-oriented programs since then. Held from March to November, programs include travelogue and wildlife adventure films narrated in person, usually by the photographer or filmmaker, musicals, instrumentals, vocals and choral groups.

All foundation programs are free and are held at the Sawyer Memorial Auditorium, 371 Sawyer Road, Greene.

Hostess will be Mrs. Dominic Gacetta and assistant hostesses, Anne Kalwell, Mrs. Richard Hayes and Mrs. Robert Dechene.
