STORRS , Conn. – Lucette L. (Nadeau) Pappanikou, of Storrs, died peacefully on Friday, April 7.

She was born in Lewiston, on March 11, 1930, the daughter of Henry and Emerentienne Nadeau. She graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Lewiston and worked as a registered nurse for 50 years.

Prior to moving to Connecticut, her nursing employment included private duty nursing, St. Mary’s General Hospital in Lewiston and supervising nurse at Pineland Hospital and Training Center, in Pownal.

While living in Connecticut, she worked at the Willington Convalescent Home and at Natchaug Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Dr. A.J. Pappanikou.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years; her four children, Anne Druzolowski and her husband, Joseph, Sandra Sutyla and her husband, Raymond, John Pappanikou and his wife, Carol and Elayne Marrotte and her husband, John; nine grandchildren, Christopher, John, Meghan, Sarah, Alissa, Nicholas, Lindsey, Alexander, and Tyler; and her brother, Roger Nadeau, of Sun City, Ariz.

She was predeceased by her youngest child, Lisa.
