LEWISTON – Nano Zachary is starting a new business: cooking for others in their home.
Zachary opened Real Comfort Food, which focuses on preparing classic family meals such as shepherds pie, roast chicken with mashed potatoes, stuffed shells with spinach and cheese, meatloaf and macaroni and cheese. Soups and stews play an important role as well.
She goes to individual homes and prepares five to six meals in about three hours. Family members are welcome to learn but it isn’t necessary. Sample menus are available and Zachary will work with individuals or families to develop their own favorites.
