PORTLAND, Maine (AP) – Tyler Weiman stopped 37 shots as the Lowell Lock Monsters beat Portland 2-1 on Saturday night to stop the Pirates five-game winning streak.

The Lock Monsters scored the first goal of the game when Blue Bennefield notched his second goal of the season 6:29 into the second period. Kevin Estrada made it 2-0 at 17:12.

The Pirates drew within one when Zenon Konopka tallied his 18th of the season at 7:07 of the third.

Weiman made saves on two breakaway attempts by J.B. Bittner in the third period.
