PORTLAND (AP) – Igor Pohanka scored twice to lead the Portland Pirates to a 5-2 win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Sunday.

Portland took a 1-0 lead when Dustin Penner got his team-leading 38th goal 1:28 into the game.

Ryan Shannon tallied at 5:10, on a rebound of a shot by Zenon Konopka, whose assist ran his point streak to 13 games.

Pohanka’s first at 16:48 made it 3-0, then Bridgeport got one back from Joe Tallari at 19:40.

Pohanka scored again at 3:14 of the second period, then the Sound Tigers’ Mark Lee potted his first AHL goal at 7:56 of the third.

Maxim Kondratiev netted a short-hander with Bridgeport’s goalie pulled and one second left.

Portland’s Nathan Marsters stopped 26 shots, while Wade Dubielewicz had 41 saves.
