FARMINGTON – Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District has received a $2,000 grant from Western Mountains Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to support the 16th Agricultural/Educational Day on Monday, Sept. 18, at the Farmington Fairgrounds.
The grant will partially fund the program. The day educates students about agriculture and the wise use of natural resources.
The Maine Community Foundation was founded in 1983, and is a statewide organization with offices in Ellsworth and Portland.
It works in partnership with donors and community groups to strengthen Maine.
