CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – The station manager at WCHS-TV has left to accept a job as general manager of WGME-TV in Portland, Maine.
Terry Cole, 50, has been the news director at sister stations WCHS in Charleston and WVAH-TV in Hurricane since 2001. He has been working in the Charleston and Huntington areas since he came to work at WOWK-TV in 1994.
Sinclair Broadcasting owns both WCHS and Cole’s new station in Portland.
“I love West Virginia, and it’s been a great place, but this is a big opportunity I just can’t pass up,” Cole said.
A South Dakota native, Cole has worked at television stations there and in Idaho.
, Florida and Kansas before coming to West Virginia.
