WINDHAM – Howard Eugene Tripp, 75, of Highland Cliff Road, died at his home on Monday, April 10.
He was born Jan. 17, 1931, and raised in Poland Spring, a son of Willard and Mary (Strout) Tripp and attended schools of Poland and Gray/New Gloucester High School.
He liked the outdoors, his farm animals and enjoyed farming and gardening. He was a founding member of the Covered Bridge Family Riders and was also a mason.
He was the character “Ned” in the book “Monty’s Pal” by Howard Small.
Surviving are a son, Earl and his wife, Michelle, of Standish; a daughter, Susan Blake of Poland; a sister, Carlene Brown and her husband, Charles, of Windham; grandsons, Chad Blake, Ryan Blake, Travis Tripp and Christian Tripp; and granddaughters, Heather Blake and Stephanie Tripp.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ann; and granddaughter, Nicole Amber Tripp.
